- New Packaging by Kelowna’s Craft Brewer Reflects Local Culture -

 

November 30, 2010 (Kelowna, BC) – Winter got off to an early start through most parts of British Columbia this year, and Tree Brewing’s latest brew has quickly become a new favourite as people curl up by the fireplace after enjoying the cold-weather activities.  Just in time for the cold snap, the Kelowna-based craft brewer launched Vertical Winter Ale, a medium bodied ale with a vanilla finish, and it is already receiving rave reviews.

 

“The response to our Vertical Winter Ale has been fantastic so far,” says Tree’s award-winning Brewmaster, Stefan Buhl. “We worked on creating the right mix of the ale with a light vanilla finish, and we’re very proud of the results.”

 

The Vertical Winter Ale is a seasonal brew, and can be found in the brewer’s newly launched Character 12 pack, which replaced the popular 8 pack. The 12 pack also boasts a new design, featuring the activities and culture that embody the region.  In addition to the Vertical Winter Ale, the Character 12 Packs include Thirsty Beaver Amber Ale, Cutthroat Pale Ale and Kelowna Pilsner.

 

“We made the change from our Character 8 pack to a 12 pack based on customer feedback,” says Tree Brewing President, Tod Melnyk. “They were looking for more of the great variety that Tree has become known for, and we are happy to bring it to them. And when we decided to make that change, it was a natural progression to switch up the packaging to greater reflect our brand culture and lifestyle of our home market in Kelowna and the Okanagan region.”

 

Tree Brewing Character 12 Packs are available in limited quantities at beer stores throughout BC and Alberta.
