- Kelowna based Craft Brewer Marks 15-year Anniversary With Custom-Designed Bottle -

 

February 15, 2011 (Kelowna, BC) – For fifteen years, Tree Brewing has distinguished itself from the crowd by brewing award-winning, unique, quality brews. And now they’ve decided that it’s time to take things a step further by introducing a new custom-designed bottle that reflects the company’s character and style. 

 

“2011 is our 15-year anniversary and we figured it was time for a change,” says Tree Brewing President, Tod Melnyk. “We’re an award-winning craft brewer, and it wasn’t good enough to just change the label; we needed to do something that really conveys how different we are. But consumers don’t need to worry, we haven’t messed with the recipes that they’ve come to love over the years.”

 

Introduced into the market in mid-February, the new bottle features an embossed “Tree Brewing Co.” logo, and is fully recyclable and re-usable. Tree’s 6-packs will also now come in an open basket carrier so that the bottle can always be on display.  Another tribute to the quality and value of the brew inside is that the new bottles require an opener - you need to earn that brew. 

 

“We really appreciate the incredible support we’ve received from our consumers and the community over the past 15 years,” says Melnyk. “And we’re looking forward to continuing to set the bar with quality craft brewing and innovations like this new bottle for many years to come.”

 

The bottles will be appearing in liquor stores in British Columbia and Alberta in late February, with a soft conversion taking place over the next few months. An insert into Tree’s 12-packs and neck tags on 6-packs also lets consumers know about the exciting changes taking place.
